Cheyenne Folklorico and Cheyenne’s Mariachi Los Guerreros have been invited to participate in the prestigious Tucson International Mariachi Conference (TIMC) 2026! Our goal for this trip is to foster the traditional values of Mariachi music and Baile Folklorico while promoting cultural awareness. Through this journey, our students will strengthen their cultural identity and build pride in our North Las Vegas community.

We have been given an incredible opportunity to attend one of the premier Mariachi Conferences in the country, taking place in Tucson, Arizona, from April 29th to May 3rd.

This is not just a field trip. This is a rigorous, multi-day educational immersion. At this conference, we will move beyond our classroom walls to learn directly from world-renowned mariachi masters and expert folklorico instructors. We will attend workshops to refine our technique, learn new repertoire, and witness professional performances that inspire us to reach higher.

We want to bring that knowledge and inspiration back home to North Las Vegas to share with our school and our community.

The Challenge (Why We Need You) To get our musicians and dancers from Nevada to Arizona for five days of intensive learning, we need to raise $15,000.

Your donation will directly fund:

Our Goal We are working hard to fundraise as much as possible to lower the out-of-pocket costs for our families. While students are prepared to make personal contributions, your donation ensures that this life-changing cultural experience is affordable for every dedicated student in our ensemble.

How You Can Help Any amount gets us closer to Tucson. Whether it’s $10 or $100, your contribution means you believe in the power of arts education and cultural heritage.

If you cannot donate right now, you can still be a huge help by sharing this link on your social media. Tell everyone you know that Cheyenne High School is ready to represent!

¡Muchas gracias for your support! Go Desert Shields!

Sincerely, Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. Mendez, & Ms. O’Steen
