Dear friends & fellow citizens of conscience,

The soul and long-term health of my hometown of Cheyenne, WY are being rapidly traded away by city officials for a pittance of tax revenue, annexing undeveloped land ten football fields at a time to appease the interests of AI developers who are otherwise being ran out of rural communities across the nation - namely, their want of more & more data centers and an increasing abundance of local resources to sustain their rapacious operation. Each construct is more gargantuan, more draining and less profitable (for everyone but AI shareholders) than the last.

I've come to see that many locals are actually as disturbed and offended by this as I am - the facts surrounding AI data center development, the vital resources they threaten, the pollution they necessitate as well as the jobs they don't create are fast-becoming common knowledge .

Still, there is no real backlash in Cheyenne to speak of...few, understandably, have the courage to be seen contending what the powers that be refer to as progress-with-a-capital-P (even regarding technologies foisted upon the struggling masses with nakedly exploitative intent).

Therefore I am collecting enough small, anonymous donations ($1-$15) to publish this non-partisan protest on a full page of Laramie County's largest newspaper, expanding on my goal to share this message (centering the timeless words of William Blake, poet/prophet & witness of the first ignominious Industrial Revolution) in any and every public space where the fact of opposition can't be ignored.

The full-page ad has been approved, and will cost $1,215 - I'll be covering whatever isn’t raised by donation. If the goal is somehow surpassed, I'll happily take recommendations of where to donate the surplus (or use it to publish again!)
