My name is Tanya Lambert. Im trying to raise funds for my sister, Cheyanne Schmidt. As many of you may know she underwent a double lung transplant in October of 2024. She has ALWAYS been one of the most caring and giving people to exist. Her recent experiences have left her and her husband, Joe, facing bills they never could have imagined. Her temporary disability has recently been reduced increasing that hardship. Joe has returned to work, but much of his time still is required for helping Cheyanne with her meds and new daily feeding tube routine. She would like to return to work, but it is just not possible because of her already compromised autoimmune system being further challenged from the transplant and anti-rejection medications. She is doing what is required and surpassing her physical expectations, but the mental and financial challenges are sometimes very overwhelming. I'm putting this fundraiser together in hopes of alleviating some of that burden for both her and Joe, who has been simply amazing standing by her every step! I set the goal at $10,000 to help with their medical bills and regular expenses. They have much more important things to focus on at this time. We are so happy to have our Cheyanne on the mend and I think that stress relief always helps with that process.
