## Help My Family Recover from Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica

Hello, my name is Chester Chambers, and I’m originally from Jamaica the Hanover Parish, now living in the United States. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart following the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa, which made landfall in Jamaica on October 28, 2025.

My family in Hanover was severely affected. My mother, who is blind and unable to walk, lives alone and relies entirely on my sister — her primary caregiver — for daily meals and support. Tragically, both my mother’s and sister’s homes were severely damaged by the hurricane. My sister’s house, located next door, was partially destroyed, making it incredibly difficult for her to continue providing the care my mother desperately needs.

We are doing everything we can to support them from afar, but the situation is urgent. They need help to:

- Repair and rebuild their homes

- Restore access to electricity and clean water

- Ensure my mother receives proper care, food, and medical support
