My name is Michaela Moore, most people call me Che. I’m 28 years old, originally from Minneapolis, MN, and currently living in Denver, CO. On Sunday, March 1st, I was on my way home after a long day at work, driving at night, trying my best to be cautious when I was struck while taking a turn. My head hit the door from the force, and the seatbelt tightened, causing pain to my stomach. My car spun around in the opposite direction from the force.

After the accident, I was left with shoulder and neck pain, muscle aches, and PTSD.

Unfortunately, due to everything I've been dealing with recently, including having two abdominal surgeries in a month, I was not able to maintain full coverage for my vehicle, leaving me exposed to additional medical bills for care after the accident as well as having to pay $2000 in towing and storage costs and the remaining balance on my car loan.

It feels overwhelming having to ask for assistance at this time, but it's even more stressful feeling as though everything is piling up at once. I've had to miss a few days of work to recover both physically and mentally, which is causing me additional strain. I also don't have reliable transportation, which I truly hope doesn't lead to me losing my job.

Any funds I receive will go directly towards paying the money I owe the bank and the hospital. If there happens to be anything left over, I hope to secure another vehicle for daily use. I genuinely appreciate anybody who reads my story, shares it, and I'm extremely grateful for any help I can get during this difficult time.
