Support Che's Gender-Affirming Journey

Hello, my name is Che (they/he)!! I am a trans/queer, black, artist and writer. For my upcoming birthday, I am planning on having a long-awaited gender-affirming surgery. As this is my 26th birthday, it also means I will soon no longer be on my family's insurance plan, which is covering this upcoming procedure. I have worked multiple part-time jobs since graduating and have continuously applied and interviewed for full-time positions, but have yet to find something permanent. This means until I find another source of income that provides benefits, then all my healthcare services like medication, doctor visits, therapy, etc will need to be paid out of pocket and become extremely expensive for someone making below a living wage. I am asking for assistance raising funds to help cover the remaining costs, supplies, etc. (I recently had nose surgery and used my remaining saved sick time off, so I am also including the costs to cover the 1-2 weeks I'll be taking off work to recover.) Even making a portion of this goal would be greatly appreciated as in the event I do not make my goal then I will have to pay a fee to reschedule. In the event I have to reschedule all the donations will be saved for the rescheduled date, but if my surgery is moved to another date then I risk my next insurance potentially not providing the same amount of coverage. Also, unfortunately, we do not know what transgender health care will look like going into this next presidency and I worry about having the same access or rights if this were to be postponed.
