Hi There! I'm Regina, a friend of Cheryl.
Cheryl is a long-time Hazelnut and Rockboater. To Sister Hazel fans, she is the person who started the Hazelnut fan page and continues to be an active administrator in the group, donating her time to ensure that the space is welcoming and troll-free! As a lifelong music fan, she often supports live music in Tampa and throughout Florida.
Cheryl is also passionate about rescuing cats. In addition to her own crew of feline friends, she volunteers time and resources to local cat rescue groups in her area.
Unfortunately, as Helene ripped through Florida, Cheryl's home was extensively damaged. As someone on a fixed income and retired, this financial hit was particularly brutal. She was forced to leave the house when the flooding began, sleep in her truck in a parking lot, and then return to find significant water damage.
Cheryl has lost many important and sentimental household items and has had her house extensively damaged. Because of the widespread devastation throughout the hurricane's path, it will be weeks or months before she can receive any assistance if she receives any at all.
If you've seen the devastation throughout the South and felt helpless, this is a real tangible way to make a huge difference in someone's life.
Anything you can offer, even $5 will help. All funds will go straight to Cheryl to help her rebuild her life.
Thanks for being generous to someone in real need.
