Support Cheryl Sloane's Final Journey

Hello everyone, my name is JaNaya and I am the youngest child and only daughter of Cheryl Sloane.

In the first week of January, she underwent a high-risk surgery that she believed would make her better. Unfortunately, she became very sick shortly after due to an infection that had formed in the surgical site. Given her lengthy list of victories with medical procedures in years prior, our family was confident that she would ultimately get better and return home in no time. Our worst nightmares became true when we realized that the infection had gotten into her bloodstream and her body was losing this battle. On Wednesday, February 26 at 3:45 pm, my mother made her journey home to be with the Lord. Her passing was completely unexpected, to such an extent that no postmortem arrangements were ever discussed nor prepared.

While we are deeply heartbroken and overcome with grief, we are also trying to navigate the process of having her cremated. We recognize the profound impact she had on the lives of many and are trying our best to arrange a Celebration of Life so everyone who loved her can say their final goodbye. In light of this, we are seeking financial assistance to get her to her final resting place and celebrate the beautiful life she led.

Please understand that this is our first time experiencing a death so close to our immediate family. And the time and date of the Celebration of Life is still being determined. Once a time, date, and location have been determined, our family will make this information public on social media.
