Hi family and friends-
I am the younger brother of Cheryl Lea, who passed away suddenly of an aneurysm on Saturday, Nov. 1st, 2025. While the timing is never "good," it is especially poignant as her husband, Reuben, lost his job the preceding week. Anything you can give will help. Thank you all so much.
A Life of Love and Dedication: Remembering Cheryl Lea
Cheryl Lea, a loving wife, devoted mother, and woman of vibrant passions, passed away, leaving a legacy defined by her warmth and dedication to her family.
Cheryl’s greatest joy and most cherished accomplishment was her children, in whom she took immense pride. She built her life around them, celebrating their successes and providing unwavering love and support. In 2014, she found her partner for life when she married her beloved husband, Reuben. Together, they made their home and settled in Kipling, MI.
Born in Escanaba, Cheryl spent her formative years growing up in Illinois before returning to the familiar comfort of the Escanaba area. She carried a strong work ethic throughout her life, taking on a variety of roles to serve her community and support her family, including working in home health care, at McDonald's, Pat's Foods, and most recently, with DoorDash.
Beyond her family and her work, Cheryl had a lively spirit and a love for simple pleasures. She found excitement in gaming and trips to the casino, and she expressed her creativity and care through baking, often sharing her delicious treats with those she loved.
Cheryl’s legacy is one of deep family connection, hard work, and finding joy in life's simple, fun moments.
A Celebration of Life
A time to remember and celebrate Cheryl’s life will be held at her sister Sandra's house on Saturday, November 15th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1418 10th Ave South. All are welcome to attend and share memories.
