Support Cheryl With Rent Assistance

Hi Everyone,

My name is Kim and this is my friend Cheryl (on the left). I created this GoFundMe page in honor of Cheryl, who has taken care of people her entire life, and now she is the person needing some support. Cheryl, a woman of faith, is not one to complain or draw attention to herself, but due to her current circumstance, she agreed to let me do this for her.

After a steady work history, Cheryl was laid off from her full-time job last June. Her unemployment ran out in October, and she felt she had no choice but to cash in her 401K in order to stay afloat. Her current health issues lead her to apply for Disability Insurance in December and it is currently under medical review. She has been waiting for months to find out if she has been accepted, and we are hoping to receive good news in the next month or two. If she is accepted she will also get backpay from the date that she applied.

There is good news! Since posting this page in March, we've raised over $2500, and Cheryl is now receiving food stamps, which helps immensely! People have given gas cards, grocery store gift cards, bags of groceries, and even money for a new set of tires!

Most of all, your thoughts and prayers have helped Cheryl to know that she is not alone in this.

It's not over yet, rent money is currently needed to avoid eviction proceedings.
