My heart is breaking as I write this. My dear friend Cherry passed away so suddenly at only 39 years old. She was far too young, with so much life left to live, and it still feels impossible to accept that she’s gone. Cherry was one of the most caring, selfless people I’ve ever known. She worked tirelessly for her family and was always the first to offer help, a hug, or a comforting word. She showed up for everyone.

What hurts even more is knowing she leaves behind her two children, who not long ago also lost their father. These kids have endured more loss than any child should ever face, and now they must continue life without both of their parents. Cherry’s younger sister is doing everything she can to take care of them and handle the funeral arrangements, but she is overwhelmed with grief and the weight of responsibilities no one her age should have to carry.

I’m asking for help because Cherry deserves a peaceful, dignified farewell, and her family simply cannot manage the funeral costs on their own. Anything you can give—no matter how small—will help lift a tremendous burden during a time of unimaginable pain. Your kindness will help honor Cherry’s memory and bring some stability and comfort to her children and her sister as they try to navigate this heartbreak.
