Last Thursday, my sister Cheri went into urgent care because of stomach pains. While there, she was informed she had a heart attack and needed emergency surgery to remove part of her bowel, which was dying. While recovering, she started bleeding and vomiting again, and doctors had to open her up once more to find the cause. Cheri is now in an induced coma, and the medical team is keeping her open until they can determine the source of her complications.

Anyone who knows Cheri knows she is the sweetest, kindest woman. She has already gone through so much in her life. Cheri works for a single family with a disabled adult, and her two sons, Justin and Addison, are having a hard time coping with everything that’s happening. The funds raised will go toward rent and upcoming medical bills, helping to ease the financial burden while Cheri is unable to work and her family navigates this crisis.
