Dear friends,
Today, we come to you with heavy hearts and an urgent plea for help. Our dearest mother, Cherie Marie Robert-Cannon, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, and our world has been turned upside down. We are humbly asking for your support in this challenging journey.
On November 1st, Cherie received a devastating diagnosis – a Stage 4 Glioma, the size of a plum, situated directly on the speech and communication center of her brain. Without immediate surgery, she was given only two weeks to live. While the surgery offers hope by potentially extending her life by at least three years, the tumor's size and location cast uncertainty over her future quality of life.
The medical team overseeing her care boasts an impressive track record. Their plan is to remove 100% of the tumor and an additional 10% margin of surrounding brain tissue on Tuesday, November 7th. However, immediate post-surgery challenges are anticipated, with severe swelling likely, rendering her unable to communicate while hospitalized in the ICU. We hope this is temporary, but we must prepare for the possibility that her communication may never fully return. Our family has been blindsided, facing not only emotional turmoil but also the financial and logistical burdens of caring for Cherie, all while grappling with the prospect of never speaking to the woman we love again.
Cherie is the epitome of strength and love. She has spent her life tirelessly caring for both her immediate family and the many other sons and daughters she has picked up along the way. She has always radiated kindness to everyone she meets and has helped countless people through their darkest times as a RN in the ER the past 25 years. And now, she faces a battle that none of us could have ever anticipated.
The emotional toll is immense, and the financial burden is equally daunting. We have established this GoFundMe campaign to request your assistance. Your contributions will directly aid in covering the staggering medical expenses, including surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and ongoing treatment. This financial support will not only ease the weight on our shoulders but also allow us to provide Cherie with the best possible care.
Our goal is to raise enough to ensure that our mother receives the best care and treatment available. The future is so uncertain we are not sure what to expect but every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to achieving this goal and providing Cherie with the fighting chance she deserves.
How You Can Help:

3. Send Love and Prayers: Even if you cannot donate, your thoughts and prayers mean the world to us.
We understand that times are tough for many, but any help is appreciated. Your generosity will not only change Cherie's life but will also touch the hearts of our entire family.
Your support means the world to us.
With gratitude and hope, The Cannons and Richters
