Hi all! Our mother, Cherie “Cher” Swartz was diagnosed with lung cancer in her upper left lobe at the beginning of August. The good news is that they caught it fairly early and is definitely treatable. We have had the most incredible team at UTSW that thus far, we cannot thank enough. On Friday, Sept 13, Mom will go under the knife to have her entire Upper Left Lobe removed with a Lobectomy. Although we are beyond grateful that she will not have to endure chemo or radiation, she will have an 8-12 week recovery and will not be able to work. We are humbling asking for your help with their medical expenses as well as supplementing her lost income in order to pay their monthly bills.
