Hello everyone. My name is Katie, I’m the oldest daughter of Cherie Rodriguez.

the last couple months have been the toughest we’ve ever gone through.

My mom (Cherie) was diagnosed with Stage 4 esophageal cancer. It literally came out of nowhere and a complete shock to all of us. The tumor is in the lower part of her esophagus and completely blocking anything and everything from going down. Due to this, she’s had a feeding tube placed for almost 2 months now.

This month she started her first round of chemotherapy and her body responded poorly. She ended up severely dehydrated, very weak and couldn’t walk and was brought by ambulance and hospitalized for 6 days until they could reverse the damage done to her kidneys. Due to blood work coming back they have to postpone chemotherapy and for the last 4 days she’s been getting IV fluids and potassium for 3 hours each day and still they’re struggling to keep her potassium and other stuff in her blood up to where it needs to be for another round of chemotherapy along with immunotherapy.

During this time my stepdad, Johnny, has not been able to work and ended up having to quit his job to be there to take care of my mother along with my grandparents whom are in their 80’s. Because of this bills are starting to pile up!!

with all that being said, we are hoping people can help in any way possible!! $1, $5 or even just sharing and getting this out to the community. Cherie is loved by so many and is enduring the toughest fight she’s ever had to fight in her life and the last thing she needs to worry about is making sure their bills are paid!!
