Hi, my name is Chelsey Spradlin. I'm 32, a mom, and a wife. I'm creating this GoFundMe for my mother. She is 50 years old, a mother to 4 kids, and a grandmother to 7 grandkids, and is in very bad health. She has been in the hospital since June 2, 2025, with multiple health problems that are life-threatening. She has two bacterial infections in her lungs. One is called MAC, which is resistant to the antibiotics they are giving her. The other is called pseudomonas. She has bronchiectasis, which means her airways are damaged and widened, making it hard to clear any mucus and prone to even more infections.

She was just recently intubated for six days on a ventilator. They said they can't keep her on it for long, so they asked for permission to do a tracheotomy, which is a ventilator through the neck right above the collarbone. They just mentioned to me that they want to transfer her to a better-equipped facility to manage her ventilator and her stomach tube. They had put in either two San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Fresno, Modesto, or Bakersfield.

I went on family medical leave because I am my mom's proxy. I am having to sign and give permission for any treatment procedures and medical decisions, so I do have to be here for any call or anything that happens. I'm not doing this just to do it. This is a last resort. I'm doing this for support for my mom for medical emergencies and any fees for staying at the facility she'll be transferred to.
