Hi everyone,
My name is Marguerite, and I am beyond proud to share the incredible journey of my daughter, Chelsey Foster. After years of hard work, sleepless nights, and unwavering dedication, Chelsey is officially beginning her OB/GYN residency—a dream come true that she has worked tirelessly to achieve.
Chelsey’s passion for women’s health began long before medical school. She has always been an advocate for others, using her voice to uplift communities and provide compassionate care to those in need. Throughout her training, she pursued every opportunity to sharpen her skills—from working as a birth doula to serving in leadership roles in reproductive justice and advocacy organizations, including her medical school's AMSA chapter. She also earned a master’s degree in Narrative Medicine, further deepening her ability to connect with and care for patients.
Now, she is preparing for one of the biggest transitions of her life—moving from Dayton, Ohio, to Nashville, Tennessee, to begin her residency. However, as many of you know, the transition from medical school to residency comes with significant financial challenges. As a first-generation college graduate and doctor, Chelsey has overcome incredible odds to reach this point, but moving expenses, securing housing, and covering basic living costs before her first paycheck present a major hurdle.
Chelsey has given everything to this dream, and I want to make sure nothing stands in her way as she takes this next step. That’s why I’m reaching out to our community—to ask for your support in helping her make this move as smooth as possible.
Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward her moving expenses, initial living costs, and essentials she’ll need to start residency with peace of mind. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign means the world to us.
Chelsey has spent her life caring for others—now it’s our turn to help her. Thank you for being part of her journey. Let’s send her off to Nashville with love and support!
With gratitude, her mom, Marguerite
