I am Kylee Maley, Chelsey's sister. On January 21st around 5 pm, I received a phone call off her phone from a nurse at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN, where she is living stating that they were admitting her for a pretty severe brain bleed caused by a possible brain aneurysm and needed a family member at her bedside as they were admitting her into the Neuro ICU. She had called EMS for herself, and I believe it saved her life. I didn't know the state of where her life was, so I hopped on a plane at 5 am the next morning and flew to her. When I arrived at the hospital they were doing further testing and scans to navigate the damage and further fear of another aneurysm.

Chelsey's vision is not back yet and short term memory is still at large as she cannot see or remember having current conversations. She is confused, frustrated and scared as to where this is going to lead her as she does actively live alone out of state. I expressed she is so loved and everything will figure itself out and to heal. As scary as situations like these are I reassured her that she's doing the only thing she can do for herself and that is healing. I pray that her short and long term healing comes back to 100% but there are a lot of uncertainties. With her being her own provider it is uncertain how long she will be out of work even with the recovery out of the hospital they are not certain how long it will take her to come back from something so serious like this.

Last time we spoke with the ICU doctor, they said best case scenario is she is out of the ICU in a week and has about 3 months of out patient recovery AS LONG AS, she progresses and nothing changes, and if something happens to change in that time frame that could extend weeks...months, and so forth.

With that being said, I love my big sister and I want to take any financial or mental stress off her shoulders that she physically cannot take off herself especially since I cannot physically be there every day and trying to figure out how I am going to help take care of her anything helps and is much appreciated as I help her navigate through the next step in life and pray that God always restores.
