Hello, this is Grisel, Chelsey’s mother
Let me tell you a little about my daughter Chelsey. She is a beautiful young woman with a humble and compassionate heart, she has brown hair and light brown eyes. A personality that will light up every room she enters and, like anyone else, she has dreams, goals and she wants to be independent; she wants to succeed in life, be happy and apply her many talents and enjoy good mental health.
But unfortunately, she has not been able to achieve her dreams because her struggles with mental health have prevented her. Chelsey has worked so hard in achieving recovery, and she is exhausted from living a life she didn’t ask for.
Chelsey is in a recovery center for mental health disorders. In the center that she is, they give her free two days a week and one day on the weekend. Those days I take care of her.
I take her to all her doctor's and therapies appointments, this is how it will be for as long as is needed.
She will be discharged from the Center on January 4, 2022. She will transition to a Recovery Living facility. As some of you may know, the average cost of these facilities is $200 plus per week, in addition to all the other money that she will need for her care and treatments to support her in achieving recovery.
The medications the doctor prescribed, retail for 1,400 per month after insurance and manufacturers discount will bring it down to $ 250 per month, which I can't afford.
As you may know, the cost of Chelsey's treatments and normal living expenses are quite expensive. Until now, more, or less, I was able to take care of her bills with what I earned from working.
I have done all that I can to help my daughter heal, but my resources are depleted, and so is the very limited help that the government and medical insurance offer. Some of the treatments may be covered partially by insurance, but other needed treatments are not covered.
Chelsey loves and will benefit from yoga therapy, art therapy, music therapy, acting therapy, nutrition therapy, mindfulness therapy: Mindfully focusing on wellness in our lives builds resilience and enables us to thrive amidst life’s challenges.
Attending a Technical School is a plus for Chelsey. A Technical School offers hands-on training to prepare and gain skills for the actual work she chooses.
Different types of therapies that can be applied: “Psychoanalysis and psychodynamic therapies, Behavior therapy, Cognitive therapy, Humanistic therapy, Integrative or holistic therapy.”
These treatments would be very supportive on her path to recovery, it will help her feel a sense that she belongs, develop self-esteem, has a purpose, and is seen as a human being, capable of being independent.
I have always been by Chelsey’s side, supporting her in her recovery financially, spiritually, mentally, and physically. I am her full-time caregiver, I advocate for her, I take care of her in all aspects.
Your help is urgently needed to commence Chelsey’s Therapies, Treatment, and Living Facility.
Your donation is greatly appreciated and will contribute immensely to her recovery.
Thank you!!
