Dear Family and friends, we are raising funds to help Chelsey and Anthony with all the expenses that come along with complications during the delivery of Ivey.
On Friday November 22 Chelsey Kriston Knapstein was induced with Baby Ivey Knapstein. During delivery her Uterus ruptured causing her and Iveys heartbeat to drop drastically. Ivey had to be delivered immediately . Ivey was not breathing and had to be put on a breathing machine. Chelsey’s stomach was filling up with blood…she had to be rushed to surgery to repair and stop the bleeding. Ivey was airlifted to MUSC in Charleston where she was placed on a cooling blanket for 72 hours then a warning blanket for 16 hours due to lack of oxygen to the brain. Chelsey was released this Tuesday and ended back in the hospital that night with some complications (she’s out doing much better but she still has a road of recovery). Anthony was traveling back and forth between both hospitals….once Chelsey was released they got a hotel room near the hospital.
The cost of travel, food and hotel stays have added up not to mention the after care that Ivey will receive…..Continue checks with a specialist over the next year at MUSC.
Chelsey and Anthony need to be able to have all of their focus on Ivey and her progress. The last thing they should have to focus on right now is all the medical bills and other added expenses. If you can help in anyway it would be greatly appreciated ♥️
