Update on Chelsea
I wanted to share an important update on Chelsea. She has officially started her chemotherapy and is responding well overall! However, her biggest challenge right now is the pain she’s experiencing. The mass is affecting surrounding bones and tissues and causing significant discomfort, along with a partial collapse of her lung tissues. The goal is for the chemo to shrink that mass and ease her pain.
Chelsea was initially diagnosed at stage 2, but her recent PET scan shows that it has progressed to stage 4, with some spread to her pelvic bones. She’s been dealing with symptoms since December and had self-diagnosed by February. She had to wait months for doctors to run tests and some being repetitive and unnecessary. Unfortunately, it took two months to even get a biopsy done and an additional three weeks to start her treatment. Chelsea has been a warrior, advocating for herself and has decided to seek a second opinion at MD Anderson.
Despite everything, she remains positive and strong. Please keep her in our thoughts and prayers for total healing, for the mass to start shrinking soon, and for her pain to subside. Your love and support mean the world to her!
At just 32 years old, my dear friend Chelsea is facing a battle that no one should have to endure—she is currently fighting cancer (Lymphoma). This past February, she took a courageous leap of faith and opened her own spa, pouring her heart and soul into creating a welcoming haven for her clients.
Despite her diagnosis, Chelsea has remained fiercely dedicated to her business, working tirelessly day in and day out, often taking on more appointments than she should. Her spirit is unwavering, even on days when the cancer symptoms weigh her down. There were moments when she would schedule breaks to rest, only to put her own needs aside for the sake of her clients. Each time an appointment request came in, she prioritized her work, knowing the survival of her business depended on her efforts. Her commitment is truly inspiring.
Now, as she prepares to undergo six months of chemotherapy, the reality of her situation is setting in. Chelsea is trying to create a plan that allows her to continue working while battling this aggressive illness, but the stress of finances and maintaining her business is overwhelming. This is why I am reaching out to you. Together, we can ease her burden and allow her the space to focus on what truly matters—her health and her family.
Chelsea is a loving mother to young children and a devoted wife. As her husband will need to take time off work to care for her during this challenging period, the financial strain will only grow heavier. I want to create a fund that allows Chelsea to focus on healing, without the constant worry of financial instability.
Throughout this ordeal, Chelsea has continued to exemplify positivity and resilience. I have no doubt that she will not only endure this fight but will come out stronger on the other side.
