Donation protected
Chelsea Lonigro Sorger is in the fight of her life after receiving a devastating diagnosis of Stage 3C cervical cancer. SHE NEEDS YOUR HELP!
This diagnosis has turned her and her family’s world upside down; she is in the battle of her life, physically, mentally, emotionally and financially.
Initially Chelsea was diagnosed with Stage 1 cervical cancer. Her and her doctors decided to go through the procedure of a hysterectomy to ensure the removal of all cancer.
Unfortunately, after the hysterectomy Chelsea received the devastating news that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes making this a much more severe diagnosis of Stage 3C cervical cancer.
She will now undergo an aggressive treatment plan.
Chelsea will need a second surgery to move her ovaries into her abdomen, and then she will begin a rigorous treatment of radiation of 5 days a week for 5 weeks. In addition to radiation Chelsea will undergo chemotherapy once a week for a 5 hour treatment for 5 weeks. And then, after all of that, she will finish with Brachytherapy radiation once a week for 3 weeks.
This will have a huge impact on her and her family.
Chelsea is a beautiful 33 year old wife to Danny and mother to Raegan and Callie. On top of her health battle, Chelsea faces the immense challenge of caring for her special needs autistic daughter, four year old Raegan, who requires daily intervention services, and her two year old, Callie, a highly active toddler.
Danny works long hours in the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator to support and provide for the family. His work hours will have to be significantly affected as he needs to be by Chelsea’s side during this fight. Chelsea works in the evenings as a hair colorist, but since her surgery has not been able to return to work, and won’t be able to for the foreseeable future.
Your help can make a difference in Chelsea’s life by donating, you're not just easing the burden of mounting medical bills, but you're also helping to ensure that her family's financial burden is eased. Every dollar brings her one step closer to focusing on her recovery without the crushing worry of how her family will manage.
