Help Support Chelsea's life-saving bone marrow transplant!

Chelsea is a wonderful 28-years old, and a great family friend who lives in Boca Raton. Smart, beautiful, energetic, and incredibly brave, she loved spending time with her family and friends and travelling, despite her 12-years battle against a rare disease that targets her bone marrow, known as paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria. Unfortunately, over the past eighteen months, this condition has also triggered the development of another illness with a barbaric name called aplastic anemia. Severe aplastic anemia is a debilitating blood disorder primarily afflicting young adults. It ravages the bone marrow, causing profound fatigue, necessitating frequent transfusions, and exposing her to life-threatening infections and hemorrhages.

The dual impact of these diseases not only disrupts her bone marrows function but also completely weakens her immune system. To survive, Chelsea urgently requires a stem cell/bone marrow transplant from a suitable donor. None of Chelsea's family members are matches, prolonging the exhaustive search for a compatible donor. Because of the state of her immune system, she has been placed in complete solitary confinement for months and no longer sees anyone. She can only travel through her other passion, movies. 

When she finally will get a match, the transplant procedure shall be the primary treatment for Chelsea, involving an extensive stay in a sterile room, followed by a monitoring period lasting an additional 6 months, hoping for successful

integration of the transplant without rejection. However, the journey to recovery will extend over a total of 3 years before Chelsea can return to what we consider a normal life. We humbly appeal to your generosity to ease this burden, no matter how small the contribution. Each donation brings solace to Chelsea and her family, alleviating financial strain and offering hope for a brighter future.
