Chelsea is a mother of three that has a daughter that’s been diagnosed with a disease that will require lots of care. Chelsea is a hard working woman that may need time off to take care of her daughter.

Not only will she need to be there physically but also emotionally may need time so let’s support her during this. as everyone knows Ellie started having seizures a few years ago and after many hospitalizations she finally got a referral to Luries Children Hospital After a lot of tests, we learned that she has been diagnosed with diffuse cortical dysfunction and progressive myoclonic epilepsy. These conditions are rare and serious, and unfortunately, they will cause her abilities to slowly decline over time. diffuse cortical dysfunction, which means that there is widespread disruption in the way her brain's cortex (the outer layer of the brain) functions. This affects how her brain processes information and controls movements. The progression of this disease means that she will gradually lose the ability to walk, talk, and perform everyday tasks. Her muscle memory will fade, and she will not be able to do the things that once came naturally to her. she’s experiencing atonic and absence seizures, which affect her coordination and consciousness. These seizures are killing off her brain every time she has one. On top of that, she is at a very high risk for SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy).We will be going back in June to find out which form of PME that she has they all shorten ones lifespan but some shorter then others.We have to wait until June as more testing needs to be done.
