On August 18, 2025, Chelsea Patrick received news no one is ever prepared for. What started as a seemingly harmless rash quickly turned into every family’s worst nightmare. In just a few short months, Chelsea went from feeling like herself to being diagnosed with HER-2 Positive Invasive Carcinoma — an aggressive and fast-moving form of breast cancer that has already spread to her lymph nodes.
At just 33, Chelsea is now facing Stage 3 cancer and the fight of her life.
Chelsea will be undergoing 16 weeks of chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy at the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Center in Grand Rapids. In December, she will undergo a double mastectomy and likely have all lymph nodes removed. Following surgery, immunotherapy treatments will continue for a full year.
Chelsea is not just a cancer patient — she is a devoted wife, a loving mother of three, including two toddlers aged just 2 and 3, and a dedicated stepmother to two additional children. She is a Veteran of the U.S. Army and Army National Guard, where she proudly served her country with courage and commitment.
Chelsea has begun her chemotherapy treatment, and due to the serious risk of infection, she is currently unable to work. Her health and safety must come first, as her immune system is especially vulnerable during this time. Her family is facing significant financial burdens due to:
• Loss of income
• Ongoing medical expenses
• Frequent travel to and from Grand Rapids
• Potential overnight stays for treatment
• The costs of maintaining a clean, sterile home environment essential to her recovery
This fight is taking a toll on her family — physically, emotionally, and financially.
How You Can Help
If you are able, please consider making a financial donation to help ease the burden on Chelsea and her family. Every dollar makes a difference and goes directly toward supporting her treatment, travel, and home care needs.
If a financial contribution isn’t possible, your thoughts, prayers, and shares of her story are equally powerful. Your support shows Chelsea and her family that they are not alone in this battle.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Chelsea during this incredibly difficult journey. Your compassion and generosity mean the world to them.
