Help Chelsea & Chris Bring Their Baby Home
Goal: $50,000
A Love Story Met with Unimaginable Challenges
Chelsea and Chris met in 2016 as coworkers. What started as a friendship quickly grew into a deep love—one filled with laughter, dreams, and a shared vision of building a family together.
In October 2020, Chris proposed, and they eagerly began planning their future. They talked endlessly about the family they would create, imagining what their children would be like. But just a few months later, their world was turned upside down.
A Life-Changing Diagnosis
In July 2021, Chelsea was diagnosed with cancer. Knowing the treatments could affect her fertility, they made the decision to freeze embryos before she started treatment in September 2021.
Over the next year, Chelsea endured:
✅ 12 rounds of chemotherapy
✅ 25 sessions of radiation
✅ 3 major surgeries
On June 6, 2022, just one month after exchanging vows at their wedding in the midst of cancer treatments, they received the incredible news—her pathology report was clear! Chelsea was cancer-free and they may begin their Happily Ever After by the grace of God.
An Unexpected Heartbreak
Through it all, the light at the end of the tunnel was the dream of becoming parents. Chelsea had the hope that once she was healthy, she would carry their child. But the unimaginable happened again.
She learned that a rare radiation side effect had severely damaged her reproductive system, and she would be unable to carry their child herself. She embarked on yet another medical journey. After many appointments and research, she found a team of top specialists and underwent a fourth surgery in November 2024, followed by countless hours of physical therapy which are ongoing to present day.
When it came to building their family, despite everything she had already overcome, she now faced another heartbreaking roadblock: the chance of ever carrying was taken from her and the newlyweds were forced to find a new path.
The Path to Surrogacy
Determined to meet the baby they so intentionally created before their world changed, Chelsea and Chris turned to surrogacy. However, the cost in the U.S. is an overwhelming $200,000; far beyond their reach, especially after the financial burden leading up to this point.
Through their fertility doctor, they found an ethical and reputable surrogate agency with a program in Colombia that offers the same care model at a much more manageable cost of $70,000, which covers the following:
➡️MEDICAL (IVF clinic fees, OBGYN, perinatologist, pediatrician, and hospital services)
➡️LEGAL fees
➡️TRAVEL
➡️AGENCY and SURROGATE compensation
How You Can Help
After everything Chelsea and Chris have endured, money should not be the thing that stands in their way of becoming parents.
We are asking for your help to bring their baby home. Every donation, no matter the size, brings them closer to meeting the child they have fought so hard for and dreamt of for so long.
If you are unable to donate (or even if you are), we ask that you please share this with the others in your life, if you are called to do so.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Chelsea and Chris in making their dream of becoming parents a reality!
