Hi everyone, my name is Keaton, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Chelsea Potts and sweet baby Callum.

Callum Murphy Vanderplaats was born 4/18/24 to Chelsea and her fiancé Garrett Vanderplaats. Two days later on 4/20/24 Garrett suffered a terrible accident. Chelsea found Garrett with no heartbeat and performed chest compressions until first responders arrived. After 7 rounds of compressions, they were able to get a heartbeat. Unfortunately, it was too late. Garrett was pronounced legally deceased on 4/22/24 at 3:29 PM due to brain death. He is currently awaiting matches for his life saving organs. All Garrett ever wanted to do was save people, and in his death he is seeing that through.

This has been an unimaginable tragedy in Chelsea and Callum's lives. As she recovers from childbirth, she will now have to deal with the loss of her love, her support, and her best friend. Garrett was also her financial support - without him, she will have to deal with a number of bills while also taking time off work to be with Callum. Between rent, utilities, groceries and general cost of living, Chelsea could really use some help at this time to take the financial strain off.
