Araceli “Chelly” Garcia is one of the most loyal, hardworking, and resilient people you could ever meet. For over 30 years, she has been an integral part of our family’s life. She has stood by us in our most joyful celebrations and in our hardest moments. Now, it’s our turn to stand by her.
Last summer, Chelly was diagnosed with breast cancer. While it came as a complete shock, she has handled the diagnosis with so much strength and courage and has kept a positive and joyful attitude all while continuing to work.
Last week, Chelly underwent a bilateral mastectomy. She now faces a few months of recovery followed by chemotherapy, which will continue into mid-summer. Her sons, Leonel and Abel, are her greatest joy and motivation, and like the rest of her close friends and family that have rallied around her, they are in awe of her strength. While her prognosis looks optimistic, the journey is long and incredibly taxing — physically, emotionally, and financially.
We’ve created this GoFundMe to help support Chelly with recovery care and essential living expenses as she focuses on healing and is unable to work.
If you know Chelly, you know how deeply she’s touched the lives of those around her, caring for others with grace and heart. Please consider donating or sharing this page to help ease the burden she now carries. Every gift, every message, every prayer means the world.
