Hi, my name is Chef Zayn, a proud Kenyan-American and founder of Mombasa Street Eats, a female-led culinary startup born from love, heritage, and the dream of bringing authentic East African flavors to the heart of Texas.
After years of cooking from shared commercial kitchens and catering small and large events, I finally have the opportunity to launch a cloud kitchen in the heart of Houston Texas, serving Kenyan and Swahili coastal cuisine rich in spices, soul, and tradition. This kitchen will be the first of its kind in the area, and your support will help make it happen!
What your donation supports:
We’re raising $30,000 to outfit our very first kitchen space with the essential commercial appliances we need: refrigerators, fryers, prep tables, ovens, Stove range burners , Electrical Warmers , Mixers and more. This kitchen is the launchpad for our full-scale operations, allowing us to reach customers through delivery platforms like Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub.
