Support Chef Natalie Gazaui's Medical Journey

Hi, my name is Natalie Gazaui and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, ask for help. I’ve always prided myself on helping people in need, supporting causes I care deeply about, and doing my best to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Now I find myself in a difficult place, and I need help.

For the past two and a half months, I’ve been battling a mysterious and frightening medical issue where I suddenly lose consciousness without warning and collapse. Two weeks ago, I suffered a severe fall that sent me to the ER and led to a hospital stay.

At home, I lost consciousness and fell, hitting my head so badly that 911 had to be called and the paramedics took me to the hospital. I suffered a deep cut on my head which required eight stitches and was in and out of consciousness while they worked on me. I am grateful to be alive, but I have a long road ahead.

Since this began, I’ve undergone several MRIs, MRA, CT scans, blood panels, and have worn a heart monitor in order to diagnose what’s going on. These tests are necessary, but without insurance, they come at an overwhelming cost.

I am a chef, and this condition has forced me to stop working for the past couple of months. My work is physical, fast-paced, and demanding. Right now, I simply can’t do it safely.

With no insurance and no income, I’m facing mounting bills: an ambulance ride, hospital care in the ER, diagnostics, follow-ups, and a couple of days at the hospital.

I’ve always been someone who helps others; now I’m in a place where I need to humbly ask for help myself.
