Our beloved Chef Manuel—an integral part of the Ghost Town Brewing family and one of the Bay Area’s finest culinary talents—has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is preparing to begin chemotherapy in the coming days.

Chef Manuel is more than just a talented chef. He’s a devoted employee, a generous soul, and a warm presence who treats every customer and coworker like family. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting him, you know he’s the kind of person who lights up a room and puts care into everything he does—from the food he prepares to the friendships he nurtures.

As Manuel begins this difficult journey, he’ll need time away from work to rest and focus on healing. Unfortunately, this means a sudden loss of income while facing growing expenses—rent, food, transportation, and the mounting medical bills that come with cancer treatment.
