Let me preface this by saying I never ask for money from anyone; however, this is a desperate and sad situation.

Unfortunately, our beloved furry family member, Cheeto, was recently diagnosed with heart disease. We were completely blindsided by this diagnosis, considering he was acting totally fine, eating normally, having normal bowel movements, being playful, and roughhousing around with our two other pets.

A few nights ago, we came home, and he was struggling to breathe from fluids building up in his lungs. We immediately ran him to an emergency clinic where the vets were able to stabilize him for a couple of hours. With the vet saying he might not make it through the night, we then had no choice but to check him into an overnight animal hospital where he could receive oxygen therapy for the next 24-48 hours. After his stay, we were able to take him home, but his heart condition is still an ongoing problem. He now needs to be seen by a cardiologist so we can get a better idea of what heart disease we are dealing with. The vets think he has a fighting chance of sticking around a while longer if he gets the help he needs.

Between the emergency clinic, the overnight animal hospital stay, the cardiologist visit, and everyday meds, it is becoming more than we can handle at the moment. We love Cheeto more than words can describe and are doing everything we can to make this work.
