Support Checo's Urgent Medical Care

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out during an incredibly difficult time to ask for help in caring for my beloved dog, Checo, who I adopted in early March from a rescue in Denver. He came from a kill shelter in San Antonio, Texas, and was saved in the nick of time! When I met him, I knew instantly he was meant to be part of my life - he’s the most loving, gentle soul, full of sweetness, and truly a cutie through and through.

Recently, he started showing signs of illness, and after several vet visits and tests, he’s been diagnosed with a severe case of ehrlichia, anaplasmosis, and giardia. These are serious infections - especially the tick-borne diseases, which are uncommon in Colorado. The vet believes he was already infected before his rescue from Texas.

He now needs hospitalization and intensive care to recover. These treatments are urgent and costly, and as much as I want to give him everything he needs, I simply can’t do it alone.

This little guy has already survived so much. I promised him a safe, happy life full of love when I adopted him, and I want to keep that promise. If you’re able to donate anything at all - no matter how small - it would make a huge difference in his healing journey. Every bit helps cover vet bills, medications, and the specialized care he needs right now.
