Chayla Hubbard is a beacon of hope and resilience, a 26-year-old mother of 7-year-old Sam and 4-year-old Cloe, who has been married to John Hubbard for 7 years. Despite her unwavering dedication to providing for her family, working 3-4 jobs at a time, waking up at 4 am, and sometimes not returning home until 11 pm, she has faced unimaginable challenges. As a young child, she suffered from debilitating migraines that led to numerous ER visits, where at the age of 11, she was misdiagnosed with chronic migraines. Her journey has been marked by struggles with migraines so severe that they cause blurry vision, nausea, lightheadedness, tremors, and unbearable pain. Currently, she faces an overwhelming medical debt of almost $5,000, accumulated from ER visits, testing, specialist visits, and repeated testing to confirm the diagnosis of Chiari Malformation Type 1. This condition, caused by a missing bone, has led to severe daily migraines, neck pain, coordination and balance issues, numbness and tingling in her hands and feet, dizziness, and difficulty swallowing. Upon receiving her diagnosis, her doctor emphasized the urgent need for decompression surgery, which will require a 3-4 day hospital stay, followed by 14 days of round-the-clock care. The road to recovery will be long and arduous, with a minimum of 6 months before she can return to work. This will undoubtedly be the most challenging period for her and her family, as she normally provides three paychecks to support their household. We are rallying around Chayla, praying for the best possible outcome from her surgery, and acknowledging the significant financial hardships that lie ahead. Her monthly expenses, totaling $2,560, include $200 electricity, $80 water, $70 gas, $60 trash, $120 WiFi, $180 phone bills, 550 car payment, and $150 car insurance. Additional weekly expenses include $60 school lunches, $150 groceries, and $75 animal feed for her animal sanctuary. We are appealing to your kindness and generosity, asking that you consider donating, sharing her story, or offering any support possible. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring hope and relief to Chayla and her family during this trying time. If you would like to allocate your donation to a specific bill or expense, please let us know, and we will ensure that it is applied accordingly.
