On July 4th, 2025, 15-year-old Chasity Nelson’s life changed in an instant when a drunk driver ran a red light, leaving her critically injured. Instead of preparing for cheerleading camp at JL Mann in Greenville, SC, Chasity is now fighting for her life in the pediatric ICU. She is an honor student, a dedicated cheerleader, and a quiet, sweet soul who loves animals and dreams of becoming a zoologist or veterinarian. Her beloved pet lizard and guinea pigs are missing her at home, while her family faces unimaginable uncertainty by her bedside.

Chasity’s injuries are severe—she is in a medically induced coma after suffering brain trauma, strokes on both sides of her brain, and multiple surgeries to address internal bleeding. Doctors have warned that, if she survives, she will face paralysis, loss of speech, and significant mental and physical challenges. Her mother, Brittney, a single mom who has always worked hard to provide for her children, is unable to work while staying at the hospital with Chasity. Household bills, car payments, insurance, and mounting medical expenses are already piling up just days after the accident.

Chasity’s journey to recovery will be long and uncertain, and her family needs urgent help to cover immediate living expenses and the ongoing medical care she will require. Every contribution will help keep Brittney by Chasity’s side and ensure she has the support she needs for the difficult road ahead. Your support can make a real difference for this family as they face the toughest challenge of their lives.
