My name is Charles, and I’m desperately trying to save my dog, Chase.

Chase is only a year old—a sweet Lab/Basset Hound mix full of love and life. But right now, he’s fighting for his life because of an intestinal blockage. The only way to save him is surgery, and without it, I’ll lose him.

I’ve already been through this heartbreak before. I went into over $7,000 of debt trying to save my best friend, Grace, from a grade 4 tumor. I was blessed with one more year with her, and I would do it all over again, no matter the cost. But because of that, I can’t get CareCredit or take on more debt now.

I don’t have the heart to give up on Chase. He’s just a baby, with so many years ahead of him. Every day with him is a gift, and I can’t imagine his life ending like this.
