Support Chase's Recovery and Samara's Hope

My name is Brice Phillips and I am here on behalf of my three-year-old dachshund mix, Chase. For those of you that know me, I’m not really the type to ask for help, but today is an exception. Our dog Chase recently woke up and has lost the use of both of his back legs. It started out slow where he was having slight trouble moving but has progressed to where he has lost all use of his back legs. We are currently at the vet and he has a slipped disc, which is causing pressure on a nerve and there is a possibility he will never walk again. For the moment, we are going to start on medication to see if we can come up with funds for surgery, but it’s out of the question right now, as the process from start to finish is roughly $10,000. I know that is a lot for a dog, but he means the world to the kids and is a fun-loving, happy dog. If he was an older dog and this was something that’s more common at the end, we would not be looking at this option, but he is just three years old and putting such a young, vibrant animal down for something like this feels so cruel and inhumane. All of the kids love Chase, but he has become an emotional support animal for my daughter Samara over the years and this situation has already been hard on her as it is. I know this is a lot to ask as a whole but anything you can help with, we will be eternally grateful. No amount is too small and sharing with family, friends, and other animal lovers is greatly appreciated ♥️
