Chase Bradshaw broke his back November 19, 2023 in a dirt bike accident near Tucson, AZ. He was in the hospital for two months and has been doing physical therapy 6 days a week since. Originally doctors told him that he was a complete spinal cord injury, with no chance of sensation or movement underneath his injury, and would never walk again. Before leaving rehab he gained slight sensation above his knees and was labeled an incomplete spinal cord injury. Shortly after leaving the rehab center his left leg gained little movement in his upper quads. Since then Chase has gotten stem cells to help promote healing. As well as built a gym at his house so physical therapy can happen everyday. In August he regained the ability to use his bladder. Yet there still is a lot of healing and expenses coming up in which he will need help.
At the one year mark Chase would like to do another stem cell treatment. As well as continue to do physical therapy twice a week at a spinal cord injury specific gym call SCI Fit which is completely out of pocket. Both of these activities will cost well over $20,000.
Another thing to consider is Chase has a family with multiple kids and a very outdoors lifestyle. Not being able to ride motocross or bicycles has been a huge setback for him. There has been some paraplegic activities like golf, fishing, and hunting that would bring Chase much fulfillment during these hard times. They do require a special power wheelchair called a Verdicat that allows him to be stood up and move around freely. These chairs cost over $30,000 and are very hard to come by.
Thats why we are trying to raise $50,000 within the next few months to make all this happen and further the healing process. There will be a golf tournament on November 27th, 2024 to help raise money towards this goal. Any other donations can be through this GoFundMe to help achieve this goal.
