Support Chase's FIP Journey

Hello,

I'm April Aderman and this sweet little 7 month old boy is Chase. With the permission of Lisa Davis, owner and operator of Lucky Cat Rescue and Sanctuary of Auburn, Ga we are praying for donations for Chase' veterinarian needs.

Mrs. Davis reached out to me to medically foster Chase because it has been presumed from previous bloodwork that Chase has Dry FIP. There is no definitive test to diagnose FIP. It is a presumed diagnosis by certain criteria in a complete blood panel and a chemistry blood panel.

We have been blessed with a sponsor for the treatment medicine for the FIP. So we have that part covered but need donations for the blood panels. However, during the treatment phase which is 84 days, it is required to have blood work panels done during the 4th, 8th and 11th week of treatment. This will tell us if the medicine is working. (I personally have a 3 yr old spoiled kitty, Chance, who had the wet FIP at 10 weeks old and was cured 05/30/2023 with no relapses.) When the 11th week blood panel is done, all 3 blood panels are reviewed by a trained FIP administrator. Hopefully then Chase can move into observation phase. Which means no more treatment pills shoved down his precious throat but he'll still have to visit the vet 3 more times with bloodwork again to make certain his immune system is getting stronger. These will be reviewed and we all pray for a cured date for Chase.

Next week is Chase' 4th week blood panel. He has been doing great taking the medicine, although I have to burrito wrap the baby. I can see a huge increase in his appetite since the first week he was on the medicine. He has picked up just over a pound. He gets along with all my 13 kitty kats. I will update as the weeks unfold.
