Support Chase Potter on his Road to Recovery

Donation protected
On the night of January 5th, Chase was involved in a terrible ATV accident that has drastically altered his life. He was immediately taken to Hamilton's General Hospital where he has been fighting for his life in the ICU. Unfortunately, Chase will need to remain hospitalized for a considerable period of time.

We want to take a moment to show our gratitude to the first responders and medical staff at Hamilton's General Hospital for their unwavering courage and exceptional talent. Without their tireless efforts, we wouldn't have Chase with us today. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Chase has suffered multiple severe injuries, including skull fractures, broken ribs, spinal surgery, pneumonia, and chest tubes. He has relied on a ventilator to breathe, but thankfully, the medical staff recently conducted a successful tracheotomy to help ease his discomfort.

As this courageous young man embarks on his journey to recovery, he will face several surgeries and procedures, followed by a lengthy rehabilitation process. Chase has displayed immense strength and resilience since his admission to the ICU and continues to show positive signs of progress every day.

Despite the long journey ahead, we are confident that Chase will continue to astound us with his progress - a quality he has demonstrated since first being rushed to the ICU.

His family has been a constant source of support, with his parents Jeff and Trish Potter, his brother Cohen, girlfriend Autumn Nie and family, grandparents Greg and Chicky Potter, Bryan and Lorraine Vanderburg, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends all standing by his side.

Our aim is to rally together and demonstrate our support for Chase's recovery, as well as showing him how much this community cares – Haldimand Cares

We established this GoFundMe page to assist the family in reducing any extra burden, allowing them to focus entirely on being with Chase during this difficult time. It's critical that his loved ones are fully present at his bedside, providing him with their undivided attention and energy.

For those who haven't had the pleasure of meeting Chase, he is a remarkably compassionate, fun-loving, and hard-working individual. He is always the first to lend a helping hand and ask how you're doing.

If you've ever been to Foodland in Cayuga, you may have encountered Chase's warm and welcoming smile. He is a recent graduate of Cayuga Secondary School, with a strong desire to travel the world and explore different cultures. Chase is also a passionate scuba diver, and dreams of someday visiting Australia to dive the Great Barrier Reef.

Our objective is to raise $75,000 to provide Chase with the essential support and medical personnel required for his recovery.

Let's come together as a community to support Chase and help him get back on his feet to achieve his dreams. He needs the Hearts of Haldimand to guide him through this difficult period.

We understand times are tough for everyone, so if you're unable to make a financial contribution, please keep Chase in your thoughts and prayers.
