Lifelong Alaskan and Juneauite Charmayne Druley is well known to her friends, family, and coworkers as a joyful and loving person who goes out of her way to help others, with a beaming smile and a love of Disney. She has worked at the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) for years, dedicating her working life to helping this vital organization in its mission to make basic and some specialized healthcare accessible to communities across Southeast Alaska. Her drive to care for others has been reflected not only in the love and support she provides to her friends and family, but in her dedicated role as the primary caregiver for her husband, and loving mother of three grown kids.
Unfortunately, Charmayne was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. In order to receive the specialized care she requires for treatment, she is looking at a minimum of one year of travel out of land-locked Juneau to a larger community every few weeks. This will leave her with many expenses - such as air travel, lodging, and medical costs - that are not fully covered by insurance. Any and all donations will help greatly in providing Charmayne with the care she needs to give her the best chance of recovery.
Charmayne is the one who looks to others to see what they are needing; who reaches out to assist and offer help when a hardship is noticed; who holds up her friends, family, and coworkers through their struggles. She, like many of us, has a hard time asking for help. But she needs our help now!
Any amount you are able to contribute is so greatly appreciated, and if you are unable to donate, sharing this with your friends and family is also incredibly helpful!
