Support Charmaine’s Family Through Her Son Michael's Leukemia Fight

My sister Charli Franks (Charmaine) 

is the strongest, most selfless person I know. For the past 5 years, her son Michael has been bravely battling leukemia — a fight no family should have to endure. Throughout this journey, she has remained a constant source of strength, holding her family together through love, sacrifice, and determination.

Her daily life is nothing short of heroic. She’s a full-time caregiver to her son Jason, who has special needs. She’s a loving grandmother helping raise her granddaughter Edyee. She’s a devoted mother to Michael who is fighting for his life.

Michael has been in and out of the hospital for the last 5 years and most ALL of this year. Even while fighting his battle with leukemia, he has been a devoted father to his daughter.

Charmaine has been doing everything she can to care for those that depend on her. The weight on her shoulders has grown heavier. She drives to and from Dallas, sometimes daily so Michael can get the treatment he desperately needs. At the same time, she’s trying to work, care for Jason, and provide a stable home for Edyee.

She sent me a message today that broke my heart — not because she asked for help (because she rarely does), but because I could feel her exhaustion and the emotional toll this is all taking. She's always the first to lend a hand to others, and now it's our turn to lift her up. I'm asking for help — any amount, big or small — to support her with gas, meals, bills, and medical expenses.
