Support Charlotte's Medical & Travel Expenses

Update as of 4/4/2025:
Less than 48 hours of returning home from Colorado, Laci took Charlotte to Wesley hospital to be treated for infection in her scar and spitting stitches (body isn’t naturally dissolving stitches and is rejecting them). After hours of bloodwork, X-rays and waiting they were told Wesley didn’t feel comfortable helping and they need to go back to Colorado. Wesley didn’t offer any travel assistance or anything. Since Charlotte was not an emergency case they sent them on their way, back to Colorado. The next day, Charli was seen and got help in Colorado. Laci and Cole were then told they have to stay local for a minimum of four nights and they will go from there. They are stuck in a hard place cause if further things happen Wesley has denied medical assistance due to liability reasons. This is continuing to add extra expenses with medical, travel, and loss of wages. Please know your continued support helps and this was unforeseen and unanticipated. Neither Wesley or Aurora offered any financial assistance. We are hoping they can come home some time next week. We will update as things change and progress.
As most of you know, Charlotte, my niece, has been battling with a couple heart conditions that were discovered back in October 2024. I have set up this GoFundMe to help my sister and her family afford travel, AirBnb, hospital, and grocery expenses so Charlotte can get the surgery she needs and recover smoothly.
Charlotte is a two-year-old heart warrior. Charlotte was born with a hole in her heart (ASD) and narrow valve (PVS). Charlotte will have Open Heart Surgery (OHS) to repair her heart on March 21, 2025. We have only known about the heart defects for four months.
Charlotte and her family will be traveling out of state to Colorado to get the best care. She will be in ICU for several days following and has to stay in Colorado area while recovering.
Charlotte's symptoms are a major concern of the doctor's, which is why they have decided to move forward with surgery because her symptoms display worse than an average kid with these defects. Charlotte's symptoms include: blue lips and constant upper respiratory illness. She also has asthma, which affects her overall health.
Since discovering her heart defects in October, Charlotte has been hospitalized many times due to drops in her oxygen levels and sicknesses. She was most recently in the hospital March 17-19, 2025, for norovirus.
Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers. From here, our family has been helping out in all areas that we can. We have this GoFundMe/PayPal to help any financial stress Laci and Cole are going through currently. We appreciate any and all help during this time as Laci and Cole have limited time to prepare and get ready for this. If you have another way you want to help please feel free to reach out.
If are locally in Wichita, KS, we have set up a meal train for Laci and Cole when they arrive back home from Colorado in early April. The link for that is here: https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/kqz6wr
Other options to help are Venmo @Laci-Haas OR PayPal @Charliedonations.
