Support Charlotte Caron's Hospice Care
Donation protected
On November 22nd my wonderful 71yo mom, Charlotte Caron, was diagnosed with an advanced and aggressive pancreatic cancer. At this stage, keeping her comfortable and out of pain is all that can be done. My mom has asked to receive hospice in our home here in Ballard and I’d like to honor her wishes.
My mom was an extremely hard worker her whole life. After a lengthy career as an activity director for Alzheimer’s patients, she’s only been retired four years. She had so many items left on her bucket list to enjoy, like watching her granddaughter grow up. My heart is beyond shattered.
Even though she has insurance, I’ve become aware that end of life care will be expensive regardless if she’s being treated in our home or at a nursing facility. I’m worried she doesn’t have enough savings.
This is where I turn to our community, and to friends and family whose lives might’ve been touched by her. If you had the chance to hear my moms laugh or was lucky enough to have heard one of her quirky phrases, please consider donating or sharing her story. Any help would be greatly appreciated during this difficult time.
