My mom, Charlotte Eshelman, has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. They’ve said she has 2 to 4 months left and we want to make it the easiest and most full of fun and love time that we possibly can.
Anyone that knows Charlotte Eshelman knows that this is a woman that has spent her entire life caring for others. Human animal birds, reptiles. It doesn’t matter she loves them all. She spent the first part of her adult life, raising a small family and caring for others as a nurse. She got to witness the miracle of birth and the sadness of death but with hope for what lays on the other side, she’s a woman with a great sense of humor And the biggest heart .
She and my dad could be very wealthy had they been stingy with what they had, but they never were. I’ve watched them give nearly 20 vehicles away to people (not just family) that needed it or give money to people that needed help. I’ve watched them take care of family member and friends both medically and through gifts of money. They’re the most generous and kind people ever.
Charlotte finished her career with a private practice where she cared for her local community and then when she retired from that went back to school got a masters because her FNP and PA licenses didn’t cover the masters side so she did that in her 70s so that she could then teach nurses and has touched many lives there.
The problem with getting older is we don’t have easy healthcare insurance or life insurance and as they’ve spent their life giving to everybody else, I’d like to ask that we all pour back into them. They’re going to need help making the last few months of Mom‘s life, easy and helping Dad with services and costs and enough money that he can rest easy while she’s gone. We would like to raise enough money to take away the financial worry for them so they can just focus on spending time with each other and with family and friends. Thank you all so much.
