Hi, my name is Charlize Peoples, and I’m an incoming freshman at THEE Jackson State University, where I’ll be pursuing my dream of becoming a pharmacist.

I’m reaching out with a humble heart to ask for help covering a $1,900 housing down payment that I need to secure my spot on campus. Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication between the university and many freshmen, I was caught off guard by this unexpected balance, and now I’m racing against time to make it happen before the semester starts. Move-in and welcome week is August 9th!

I’m from Chicago, raised in a single-parent household, and I’ve worked so hard to make it to college throughout my high school years, in school and even outside of the classroom. This opportunity means everything to me — not just for my future career, but for a fresh start and a chance to build something bigger than myself.

Education has always been my way out and my way forward. With your support, I’ll be able to move into campus housing, stay focused on my studies, and begin this new chapter strong and stable.
