Charlie Sherman, my brother, suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke while at work in October. Since then, he has been in various medical institutions and is now in a congregate living health facility. The stroke left him paralyzed in his left leg and arm, and he continues to face significant cognitive impairment. Insurance has stopped paying for anything but the most basic care, leaving our family to cover the costs of his ongoing recovery.
We are raising funds to pay for therapists to visit Charlie at his facility and provide 12 hours a week of physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Studies show that stroke victims need continued therapy for at least 12 months after the event to maximize their recovery. These sessions are vital for Charlie’s progress, helping him regain strength, mobility, and communication skills.
Charlie's friends have been incredibly supportive, and he’s made great progress so far. But we need to keep the momentum up—and Charlie’s motivation. Any help you can give will make a real difference in his recovery and quality of life. Thank you for considering a donation to support Charlie’s journey.
