Help Charlie Recover and Rebuild After a Freak Medical Emergency

Our dear friend Charlie has always been the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He’s the guy who shows up for everyone else, the one you can always count on, and now he needs our support.

Just a short time ago, Charlie took a huge leap of faith and left his job to follow his dream of starting his own catering company. He was excited, ready to share his passion for food, and about to launch this new chapter of his life when the unimaginable happened.

After a routine dental cleaning, Charlie developed a rare and dangerous infection. Bacteria entered his system and attacked his newly replaced knee. In what doctors described as a freak occurrence—something as rare as being struck by lightning—Charlie became critically ill with sepsis. He nearly didn’t make it.

Charlie endured emergency surgery to clean out his new knee joint, and he spent time in the hospital fighting for his life. While we are so grateful he pulled through, his recovery will take the rest of the year, leaving him unable to work or get his new business off the ground.

This GoFundMe is to help Charlie cover living expenses and medical bills while he focuses entirely on healing. He didn’t ask for this, and he certainly doesn’t deserve it—but we can show him that he’s not alone in this fight.
