My name is Shannon and I am reaching out on behalf of my sister Amanda and my nephew Charlie. On Saturday October 18,2025 Charlie started to get really sick. Which prompted an ambulance ride on Sunday October 19 to FHH. After multiple tests the doctors at FHH made the decision to transfer him to Children’s in DC where he has been since then. Charlie went 4 days of being deathly sick before they could preform a test which showed he had a deadly case of E Coli. Once treatment began on that end, he was being monitored for a blood disorder that can present itself with his situation. Unfortunately, Charlie developed that disorder and has suffered severe liver trauma. On Friday October 24,2005 Charlie will be sedated for dialysis which is suspected to last for hours. With Charlie being Autistic and non verbal he cannot express his pain or his symptoms or his feelings in this situation and is relying solely on his Mom to be his voice. Amanda has 2 other children at home who are also having a hard time because they miss their Mom and they miss their little brother. Charlie has a long road for his recovery and we are reaching out to ask for help. Amanda is a single mom with 3 children and needs help with the months and years ahead.
