Hi Friends!

My husband, Charlie, was diagnosed with a rare degenerative glaucoma a few years ago. It has been quite aggressive, rendering his right eye fully blind on 8/28/24. They call it a "blackout date". His optical nerve "uncupped", meaning it detached from the cornea quickly making him blind in that eye.

A few weeks ago, his eye surgeon told him the left eye's optical nerve is now uncupping, meaning full blindness is on it way.

He feels he has just this year left of sight.

He can no longer work, due to vision and is officially declared disabled by the state of Colorado. He has started the process of getting benefits for canes, blind apps for his phone, etc.

He has applied for disability last year, which is a long process. We hope to hear a decision soon on that.

In the meantime, I had a great idea to give him some last adventures to his favorite spots in America, with an EPIC ROAD TRIP ADVENTURE this SPRING and SUMMER!

He LOVES road trips, so I thought, why not SEE all of his favorite people, places and things, so in the future, he can feel, smell and touch them and remember what they look like.

I WANT TO SPOIL HIM on these trips with the best food, travel, hotels and AirBnb's, family times, mountain, country, ocean adventures. He LOVES the beach, so that will be the main focus.

July 1-18 THE BIG TRIP!

We will SEE all family and his favorite spots on the East coast.

Tennessee~To see his sisters and where we went to school and met and dated in the 90's at the University of Tennessee! We'll go to all of our favorite spots, and hang with his sisters and family.

South Carolina~Charlie still hasn't met most of my family. It's time.

We'll hang out at all of my family spots in Greenville, I'll show him where I went school, hung out, etc, and then head to Charleston which we both LOVE!

North Carolina~Reliving our FIRST DATE. When we decided to meet up after talking for months after reconnecting after 28 years, Charlie booked a cabin for 5 days in the Outer Banks. So, I took the chance and drove out to Ohio, where he was living, and we took off on July 4th, 2022, to the Outer Banks. We had a great time and want to relive the trip with Casssanova and Tofu in tow!

Baltimore~We want to see more of my family in Baltimore, my brother, who he has never met, and my neice, Kamaria and nephew, Abubakari! Ifetayo, you better meet us there!

Ohio~Going back to Charlie's family farm to SEE his mama and the farm and all his old hangs. And grabbing a couple of big fat tomahawks from his favorite Amish butcher to take home.

So, if you can, please help him SEE all of his favorite spots before his eyesight is gone. Imagine, seeing your favorite places for the last time. you want to dee them in style. Please help Charlie have the BEST trips.
